Come join our global health outreach volunteer movement! Through periodic neighborhood health fairs and other educational outreach programs,individuals and families are guided on proper nutrition,fitness and medical and wellness resources close to them. Another goal is to prevent or recognize major medical conditions as diabetes and hypertension. Health in your Neighborhood wants to help those in need TAKE CHARGE of their health by using the resources currently available in their neighborhood.

The first health fair took place on May 23, 2015 at the Chicago Park District’s, Ogden Field House in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. Nutrition and fitness information was dispersed, many fun spike ball games were played, blood pressure and diabetic assessments were given, insurance navigators where available to sign individuals up for public aid and other insurance products. Englewood area high school, Lindbloom Academy won the Englewood public health award. Cornelius Washington of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Southsider, Cory Maze of the New England Patriots were there for the festivities.
